Panty Liners: How To Use & Benefits

Panty Liners: How To Use & Benefits

Pantyliners have gained immense popularity in the past few years. ‘A blessing’ is what most women would say of it. To simply put it, pantyliners are the smaller, slimmer, lighter and more convenient cousin of sanitary pads!

WHAT ARE PANTYLINERS USED FOR?
A panty liner can be used on the receding days of your menstruating cycle where you experience spotting. Otherwise, it can be worn every day to keep your intimate area feeling fresh and clean. The absorbent fabric in a pantyliner helps manage daily vaginal discharge, light menstrual flow and perspiration.

IT HELPS MAINTAIN VAGINAL HEALTH

Vaginal discharge is common and is said to be a good sign for the female body. But it can make us feel uncomfortable at times.

But wearing a panty liner is the easiest way to deal with the damp feeling down there. Panty liners are also champion in controlling sweat during workouts.

These liners keep the vagina fresh since the product is made using breathable fabric that keeps the moisture from getting trapped below.

PANTY LINERS FOR UNEXPECTED PERIODS

Periods don’t come planned sometimes and when that happens, having panty liners already placed in your panties will work out for you. It saves you from staining your panties or your pants. It truly works.

IT IS A SAVIOUR ON THE LAST DAY

The last day of periods means fewer period stains. Light menstrual stains can be dealt with panty liners, and you won’t have to torture your vagina much with the discomfort of a large sized sanitary napkin or tampon.

Wearing panty liners is the flexible option that you need.

NO MORE FEELING AWKWARD

Sometimes when we laugh too hard or sneeze, we all lose some bladder control, and that’s absolutely normal. Panty liners are a miracle here by collecting the awkward moment.

It helps with not wetting your panties and pants, and you are safe!

IT HELPS WHEN THERE IS NO TISSUE ROLL

Imagine you are on a road trip and access a washroom with no tissue rolls. But, if you have panty liners, they offer a breathable atmosphere down there and keep it dry. That’s a win-win!

IT HELPS ABSORB POSTPARTUM FLOW

New mommies can reap the benefits of using panty liners too. Postpartum flow or lochia is common for a few weeks after giving birth, and wearing panty liners can be helpful.

Some Dos & Dont’s

  1. A panty liner may be marvellous, but remember to use a fresh one everyday.
  2. If you go for panty liners that are scented, it can cause irritation and a little discomfort.
  3. Never forget to wrap the panty liner properly before disposing it off.
  4. Panty liners can only be used for the light period flow. They don’t work for heavy flow.

There are also some unusual ways in which you can use panty liners. This is what I discovered after scouring everything about panty liners.

Underarms tend to sweat and if you don’t have real sweat pads, let panty liners do the same job.

Place the sticky side on the shirt in your underarm. The stick-on absorbs the sweat and will keep you dry throughout the day. You can do the same with your bra for breast sweat.

It also works as a heel cushion. Wearing heels for long hours can lead to bruises on the back of your heel.

Besides using coconut oil, you can always stick a panty liner. Cut it in half and place it inside your heels. It gives your feet cushioning.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PANTY LINERS AND SANITARY PADS

We have all been there, confused about the difference between the two.

Panty liners come in a variety of styles, sizes and portability option. It’s the most compact thing that you can carry in your bag that can control light period flow with vaginal discharge. Whereas pads are thicker and bigger in size that is mainly designed for periods.

CONCLUSION

There has been a lot of debate around panty liners, but I hope after reading this, you will be convinced that you can shield yourself down there against so many things.

Make them a part of your routine!
