‘Goodwill doesn’t come with boundaries’. Well, this was the statement tagged behind Lal Jose’s Ford Endeavour which was all set to sail for a long trip to London from Kochi on wheels. Little did he know about the monetary requirements, however, the government of Kerala came into rescue and sponsored the entire road trip and Lal Jose’s bucket list of traveling 27 countries in 75 days was nearing to become a trendsetter.
He was accompanied along with Suresh Joseph, an acclaimed writer and Bijju Nair, an editor from Smart Drive magazine.
In no time, this news started firing out in all social channels and Lal already started to accomplish his bucket list with his co-travelers carrying an enormous response from all the all the corners.
Travelling is not just a vacation, but also an experiential learning. One must understand the necessity behind it and go for it. Otherwise, it is unfruitful.
Perhaps, this is what happened with the trio as well, after covering a few thousand kilometers, Bijju Nair dropped himself in the middle of the trip and this caused Lal and Suresh to panic more.
Just before decisioning in haste, Lal thought about the necessity behind his road trip by doing a self-scrutiny and finally continued the remaining trip by following his heart. He was left with two options, leave the idea and go back or get his bucket list accomplished. He was game for experience and preferred the second.
After a couple of road trips covering the foothills of the Himalayas, serene localities of China, dusty Afghan barriers and the irresistible landscapes of Europe, the trip was on the verge to end.
Suresh never expected this trip would turn out be so meaningful and thanked Lal for being there till the end and gave him a tight hug with tears of joy rolling down on his cheeks.
Lal was on cloud nine as his bucket list of a long trip on wheels was about to accomplish and he smilingly turned towards Suresh and said, ‘See, we have not just bordered countries to spend time, we are actually one of those luckiest to witness diversified people, their cultures, their dreams and lastly an experience which has a story to inspire hundreds, thousands and many more.
