The first thing on my bucket list is to fill the bucket with wine! Ummm… yeah!
But jokes apart, I’ve always wondered why I need a bucket list!
I thought it won’t really affect my life or my perspectives either. But boy was I completely WRONG! And sharing is caring, isn’t it?
So here are five (absolutely genuine and convincing) reasons, why investing time on making a bucket list (and more essentially, ticking off, of the list) is important.
1. It will give a definition to the purpose and motivation in life! We’re always more focussed on ‘how’ to do things and forget ‘why’ to do them. How to survive is more important than ‘why to live’. The ‘why’ is a purpose, a motivation for doing what we’re doing. The ‘how’ will always come along and is just the technical aspect. Time to give some meaning to ‘life’, isn’t it!
2. It re-energizes you… Periodic reviewing of the list has a re-energizing effect. We’re often just running on the hamster- wheel. When we look back at what we wanted and how much we’ve already done, things get into focus and we get back on track.
3. It’s the best rewarding system! Achieved a big goal? Time to take that trip to Phuket! As simple as that!
4. Leveraging the law of ‘Attraction’! By creating a list, trying to complete it and sharing the same, you send out positive vibrations which attract others. You assist them in achieving their dreams. Can you think of things more satisfying than this?
5. Building the legacy 🙂
