Solo biking, exploring wildlife and the places around is the bucket list of most youngsters. Well, here is Chandrajit Rudra, a techie from Kolkata who is living that life to its fullest. He finds time in the midst of his busy job schedules for road trips and travel. Even though he travels with his friends sometimes, most of the times he loves to travel alone.
“Four wheels move the body. Two wheels move the soul.”
Before three years, he went on an unplanned bike trip to Dajipur Wildlife Sanctuary and he feels that it was that day which changed his life. The trip gave an unforgettable experience to him which he never wanted to lose any time from his life. The experience he gained from that trip has become his inspiration for the further rides.
The feeling of ultimate freedom to tread anywhere at his own wish was that inspiration which tempted him to hit the road continuously. From that day onwards, Chandrajit’s bucket list was to ride across every corner of India on his bike. On completing that, the next step to ride around the foreign countries. He believes that he is spicing up his normal life to another level with Solo biking.
Apart from the countless weekend rides, he had been on some pretty long trips on his bike around India. Once he rode to one of the highest lakes in the world Gurudongmar, which is in Sikkim. He had been to Lansdowne from Delhi and Vizag from Kolkata. He is just back from a Kolkata-Ladak-Kolkata solo trip, which covered almost 6400 kilometers.
Chandrajit feels that considering the fact that he has to balance his work, personal life, and bucket list simultaneously, he has been living an extremely blissful life for the past three years by living his bucket list. Experiences gained and passion shared are the biggest benefits one achieves from such travels.
He has a blog, FB page and a YouTube Channel with the name ‘One Living Life’ in which he shares his ride stories and experiences. He says that being able to encourage others to ride/to do the same in a safe way is a great feeling. The next destination of Chandrajit’s ride will be either Nepal or Bhutan which he hasn’t decided yet.
“Explore the world, love your life and live it to the fullest. But whatever you do, safety has the utmost priority.” – Chandrajit Rudra
