My curiosity is my inspiration.
With words dripping with enthusiasm and love for travel, Manish’s bucket list comprises of exploring places that boast of unspeakable beauty and breathtaking scenery. Exploring the islands of Koh Lipe and Langkawi had been on his mind for some time before he decided to go for it with his camera in tow.
Manish says that he loves to go places that are rarely visited. The lesser the place is known, the more Manish wants to discover it. Whenever he is out travelling, he makes sure to know about places that are hard to reach and cannot be found on maps. It is this incessant need to travel that has made him traverse the lengths of Koh Lipe and Langkawi islands as a part of his bucket list.
The Travel Itinerary
After landing on Penang Island, Manish went straight to the Penang hills and to the sandy beaches. He interacted with the local population. He found out they can mostly understand English while knowing about Shahrukh Khan and Narendra Modi in regards to India.
After booking a ferry from Penang port to Langkawi island, Manish met up with a bunch of friends and decided to go swash-buckling among the natural beauty. They decided on their travel plan for the next four days and rented bikes to discover the islands.
Day 1 – Manish and friends went to sky-bridge early in the morning and enjoyed the beauty from the top. They went biking all along the way since no public transport is available for the place. Manish uses the word “amazing” to describe the experience.
Day 2 – They went for island hopping and explored many small islands where there is no human interference. He describes it as if they were living in the wild.
Day 3 – They went to northern part of the island to get the best view of the sunrise. It hosts the Black Sand Beach and the Skull beach. The northern part of the island is a paradise for explorers for it remains pristine. Then they enjoyed a scrumptious meal at Sheraton resort. Afterwards, they hired a boat to undertake the Mangrove Forest tour.
After that, they went to Geoforest and Pregnant Lady Island. There is small fresh water lake inside the small island which is a glistening beauty in the sun.
Day 4 – Manish booked a ferry to Koh Lipe Island for a solo trip. Famous for its sandy beaches, he felt at peace amidst the beauty of the place. A very small island, located 4 hours away from Langkawi, it is a perfect escape for every traveller with its tranquillity.
In his own words, Manish talks about the nature of his travels and why traveling is important to him.
I love to interact with the local people and knowing their lifestyles, thought process, culture and diversity. I learn new things in every trip about life and it inspires me to explore more. It is all about exploring yourself to realize that there are so many things you don’t know.
After striking off snorkelling, kayaking, island hopping and mangrove forest tour in Langkawi and Koh Lipe on his bucket list, Manish wants to travel to Myanmar and also wishes to take a Leh-Ladakh bike trip.
He wants from the bottom of his heart for people to take time aside from their jobs and do what they really want to do. He says,
Life is a one-time offer, explore as much as you want. Live to experience. Live to explore.
Manish’s story wants me to pack my bags and go on a trip of a lifetime. If you have such a story, then come and share with us so all of us can have the courage to do what our heart says.
